Lisa Arthurs

Clinical Director

TCR Physio's clinical director, Lisa Arthurs, has been in the health and fitness industry for over 15 years with a career spanning 5 countries.

As a young person growing up in rural Canada, Lisa participated in nearly every sport available in her small town. This gave her a wide breadth of experience in sports and performance. Throughout school Lisa worked as a swimming instructor and lifeguard, skills she continues to draw upon with her post-op clients who benefit from hydrotherapy to help aid their rehabilitation.

Lisa worked as a student athletic trainer for the university Men's Volleyball team for 3 years whilst studying Kinesiology. It was during this time that Lisa was introduced to the world of strength and conditioning. Lisa also worked as a personal trainer for several gyms in Saskatoon, working with clients on performance and aesthetic goals, not just getting them out of pain.

In her final year of undergrad, Lisa travelled to the University of Hawai'i at Manoa to study abroad. While living in Hawai'i, Lisa learned to and fell in love with surf and continues to take annual surf trips with friends and family.

Lisa completed her MSc in Physiotherapy at Northumbria University in Newcastle before starting her career in London. Lisa has spent her career working in various inpatient and outpatient NHS departments, private practices and with semi-professional sports teams. In 2018 Lisa and her husband embarked on what ended up being a 2-year sabbatical (thanks covid) to New Zealand, Australia and Canada.

Since 2022 Lisa has been focused on building TCR Physio into the highly respected health consultancy business it is today.

When Lisa isn't helping her clients reach their goals, she can be found in her local Cross Fit gym, walking her mini-Dachshund, Fred, or travelling to see her family in Canada.
